Whereas adult skin often develops sensitivity due to external influences, but because of its different constitution, baby skin is inherently more sensitive. Babies’ bottoms require special care.

Our Baby Care Concept offers super-mild protection of delicate skin and regeneration for damaged skin caused, for instance, by diaper rash. Generol^® R and its derivatives – naturally derived phytosterols – deliver protection against diaper dermatitis and help improve inflamed skin. The ethylene oxide-free emulsifiers Emulgade^® PL 68/50 for creams, Eumulgin^® VL 75 for lotions or Dehymuls^® PGPH for W/O emulsions, combined with soothing actives, allow the formulation of very mild Baby Care products for the specific needs.

When formulated in a baby wash, Lamesoft^® PO 65 replenishes the skin barrier function with Glyceryl Monooleate, which is naturally part of Vernix Caseosa – a cream-like skin lipid composition that occurs in new-born baby skin.
