SHEQ management
Safety standards, environmental compatibility and product quality able to meet even the most exacting demands: at Cognis, these desirables are safeguarded by a global SHEQ management approach (SHEQ = Safety, Health, Environment and Quality). Cognis Iberia is integrated within a regional and international network of internal and external experts. This serves to ensure that the same strict regulations are applied to all Cognis units around the world, exceeding the statutory requirements in many countries.

Occupational safety and good neighbor relations
Health and safety are issues of vital importance for Cognis. One of our main objectives is to reach an incidence rate of “zero” at our sites. Hence we provide regular safety training and are continuously adapting and improving our systems in order to eliminate the likelihood of accidents occurring. Cognis Iberia believes that prevention is better than cure and has therefore established Emergency Response Teams at both sites to monitor the safety arrangements in place, as well as to control any emergency situations that may arise. These teams receive extensive and regular training and also participate in drills in order to improve their know-how and effectiveness.
