Passive Fire Protection
For more than 35 years the products of the KBS® Fire Protection System have been successfully used in passive fire protection.

Thousands of fire tests and more than 200 listed test reports/approvals according to all important national or international standards are evidence of the excellent properties of our KBS® Fire Protection products.

Active Fire Protection
It doesn’t necessarily take a fire disaster to remind us that there is no cast-iron guarantee for safety. Small fires can make an equally large impact. For more than 50 years first-class fire extinguishing agents have been developed and produced at Illertissen.
Our range of products comprises fire extinguishing powders for the fire classes ABC, BC and D as well as liquid fire extinguishing agents for the fire classes A, AB and F.
On the company-owned fire testing site Cognis experts are carrying out realistic fire extinguishing tests for various application scenarios. A team of chemists and application specialists is working continually on the further improvement of the existing range of products.
