Happy Baby No Tears Shampoo (preservative-free)
Baby Care is one of the best examples of sensitive skin applications. The delicate structure, thinner stratum corneum and lower NMF content of a baby’s skin increase its vulnerability to damage and moisture deprivation. Based on a carefully selected combination of mild cleansers and moisturizers, this pH balanced baby shampoo was specifically formulated to gently cleanse with minimum effect to the skin barrier.
With the mild anionic APG® PLANTAPON® LGC SORB, this “no tears” shampoo has been clinically proven not to sting in the eyes. It is preservative-free, and contains the moisturizing honey extract MELHYDRANTM LS 4420 and the lipid layer enhancer LAMESOFT® PO 65 to help maintain the natural hydration state of the skin and keep it smooth and soft. Based on the results of a soap chamber test and a tape strip patch test, the shampoo was confirmed to be as mild and gentle to the skin barrier as a well-known market benchmark baby shampoo. The subtle fragrance is free from the allergens listed in the Cosmetics Directive.

The results show a significant reduction of skin tightness, redness and burning. Additional benefits also identified were an increase in skin hydration and skin smoothness.

Gentle Men’s After Shave Balm

Heat phases I and II at 80°C. Add phase II to phase I while stirring. At 75°C add phase III to phase I+II. Then cool down. At 40°C add phases IV and V. Finally adjust pH-value to 4.9 – 5.3 with phase VI.
Hydro-Balancing Body Lotion
Sensitive skin can occur on many different parts of the body including the hands, feet, torso and back. Very often, sensitive skin is linked to a decrease in cutaneous skin barrier integrity and stratum corneum hydration. Skin roughness can occur and friction from clothing can increase itchiness.
Dermatologically tested and gentle to the skin, this body lotion contains no alcohol or parabens. Hydro-Balancing Body Lotion has been formulated with a gentle emulsifier mix composed of
EUMULGIN® SG and
CUTINA® GMS-V. It creates lamellar phase structures in the emulsion which can be beneficial for skin hydration. The butters obtained from the shea fruit,
CETIOL® SB 45 and from wild Mango,
IRWINOL™ LS 9890, are rich in natural lipids, which create a pleasant film on the skin.
This helps keep skin moisturized and protected, thereby helping to limit itching sensations.
CETIOL® C 5 supports the fast absorption of the lotion and a delicately light skin sensation.
Hydro-Balancing Body Lotion has been shown to be suitable for sensitive skin. Results of a four-week use test with 20 volunteers with high baseline TEWL levels, confirmed that the body lotion significantly improved skin barrier function and skin hydration over the course of the study. Subjective assessments revealed that this was also perceived by the majority of the test volunteers and that the lotion left their skin feeling softer, firmer, smoother and soothed.

Hydro-Balancing Body Lotion
Preparations in the laboratory
Heat phases I and II to 75°C. Disperse phase III in phase II and neutralize with phase IV. When the mix is homogeneous, add phase I in phases II+III+IV. Cool down while stirring. At approx. 55°C homogenize with suitable homogenizer e.g. UltraTurrax. Then, cool down. Below 40°C add phases V and VI. Finally adjust pH-value to 6.5 – 7.0 with phase VII.
