Conditioning for various needs
Personal care is about look and feel as well as performance. Our Dehyquart® Guar types provide conditioning properties in applications like shampoos and shower gels. These new cationic derivatives of natural guar gum are specially designed for all kind of rinse off applications. They are compatible with anionic, amphoteric and nonionic surfactants.
Due to the affinity to the keratin structure of the hair, Dehyquart® Guar types are exceptionally effective as conditioning agents in shampoos. They improve the wet and dry combability of hair and have a positive impact on the sensory properties. In body washes, Dehyquart® Guar types support a soft skin feel.
Depending on the formulation concept, Cognis offers three different types of cationic guars:
“Normal“ cationic guar quality for improved wet and dry combability, with a positive influence on anti-breakage hair care, suitable for opaque or pearlescent body cleansing concepts.
“High-performance“ cationic guar for superior wet and dry combability, for high conditioning performance especially for Asian hair, with a positive influence on anti-breakage, suitable for opaque or pearlescent body cleansing concepts.
“Transparent Clear“ cationic guar for significantly improved wet and dry combability, with a positive influence on anti-breakage hair care, suitable for transparent cleansing systems.
