German Version How plant proteins protect hair from environmental pollution - Puricare LS 9658 from Laboratoires Sérobiologiques
In the context of its „Hair and Pollution“ research program, Laboratoires Sérobiologiques, Division of Cognis France, has identified the negative effects of pollution on hair. With Puricare LS 9658, it has developed a new concept and active ingredient for hair care. Consisting of micro-proteins from the seeds of Moringa oleifera, PURICARE LS 9658 protects hair against environmental pollution, such as exhaust gas, dust or UV.
In contrast to the skin, which has intrinsic mechanisms for defense against external aggressions, hair lacks such intrinsic protection and regeneration systems. Therefore, it is important to provide hair with care that counteract these aggressions and repair them. The use of 2 per cent Puricare LS 9658 protects hair against UV and exhaust gas, and preserves hair cleanliness by decreasing the adhesion of urban particulate pollution. The hair is stronger, softer, brighter, easier to comb, and healthier.
Puricare LS 9658 (INCI: WATER, GLYCERIN, MORINGA PTERYGOSPERMA SEED EXTRACT) is very easy to formulate, and can be used in shampoos, lotions or rinses. It does not affect the color, odor or stability of the hair care product. It can be used in crystal-clear shampoos.
Moringa oleifera is known in its tropical homeland as " the miracle tree", as all its part are used for specific applications. The seeds are rich in proteins and oils, and are traditionally used in medicine and as a food additive.
